Transformed by His Love

Peonies are one of my favorite flowers. And white ones ... well, you just can't get much better than that for me. I found them Saturday morning at my local grocery store and I couldn't resist.

I love the way they open up so beautifully. They start out as tightly wound balls of nothing much that don't look like they will ever turn into anything.  And then they miraculously transform into these wonderfully intricate works of beauty with so many layers and just about the sweetest fragrance I know. And I think that is what God does for us. He takes our closed up hearts and slowly opens us up to be able to receive His love and His grace. And as He does, we are transformed.

"And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit."
2 Corinthians 3:18
