Beautiful window treatments

I finally got to see the photos of a project I worked on in January. I had gone up to work with an out of town client. While I was there I re-did their master closet, accessorized and styled their house, selected new paint colors and fabrics, dining room chairs, a chandelier and specified new drapes and roman shades. I posted about that trip here and here and here!

The hard part about working out of town is not being able to see the finished results. And although it is not the same as being there in person I was thrilled to get the photos from my client last week.

My favorite part of everything we did that week was the drapery panels in the dining room and the roman shades in the guest room. I am thrilled with the way they turned out! This is the fabric we used:

The guest room romans (see my previous post about this guest room here):

I posted the photos of the master closet but when I left there were still a few things that were unfinished (a chest that needed to be built and an ottoman that I had 'borrowed' for the living room needed to be put back. And of course, my client needed to move a few things around and make the closet "hers". You can see the dramatic before photos here.

Thank you Carol for sharing the photos with me!

Loving Elizabeth Dinkel

The first time I saw this room was at the Veranda Showhouse at the Greystone Mansion in L.A. in 2008. This was my favorite room. I loved the colors. I loved the twin beds (I have a thing for twin beds in a room) and oh, those glorious benches at the foot of the beds. And thought it was fun that she used inexpensive West Elm headboards for these very elegant beds (my kind of girl).

I love Elizabeth Dinkel's work; I am impressed with her sense of color and attention to detail.

And she excels in an area that is my weakest ... window treatments! Here are a few of my favorites:

Nice, right?
Hope your week is going well! Mine is flying by ...
