A good equation

Sometimes it doesn't take much to completely change the feel of a room.  Look at what just adding a couple of new lamps does for this bedroom:

+ a couple of these...

The new lamps are better proportioned and the contemporary feel of the lamps with the more traditional room makes it come alive. Don't you think?

Those lamps are gorgeous!! You're right the new lamp's proportions are so much better. I actually want to do a post on choosing the right sized bedside lamp.

Thanks so much for sharing this! I agree that it is crazy how much those lamps change the whole look. It's nice to know that one small change can sometimes do the trick!

Oh wow!! I have two old lamps right now--I think I need to do this! So simple--but makes such a HUGE impact.

Incredible - looks like a whole new room. They really balance out the entire room since they pop against the darker wood too.
