A new color scheme

I'm starting a new project. And in a completely different color scheme then my normal blues ...
This client wants a lot of black and white with accents of red. I have to be honest, the red didn't thrill me. I was thinking more of a bright yellow. So I went off looking for a little inspiration ... a place to start. Which for me is usually fabric.

I find it interesting how well the fabric I chose for my jumping off point happens to go with the new Marimekko wrapping paper that I found at Crate and Barrel. I wonder if I was subconsciously influenced!

Isn't it funny how sometimes you aren't thrilled about a color choice initially and then your thoughts change completely and you fall in love once you find the right fabric or inspiration piece? I had a similar situation recently but it turned out well. I love that fabric that you chose.

Sherri,
I'm with you, I'm not a big fan of blk, white and red either but the fabric you found brings it all together beautifully!

I love that fabric...I've always been a fan of Marimekko. I love that the black and white fabric has a little red and some green and tan too!
